When the Old Rules Don't Apply
By Gwilda Wiyaka
Many of us have been driven all our lives to become the best we can be. This is translated in different ways, depending on the individual, but for the most part, it seems to express itself as the deep spiritual search that has become a lifetime endeavor.
What is interesting is that it really doesn't matter if we have chosen the Buddhist path or one of Christianity, the way of the shaman or Islam because when you dip deep enough into the well of any of them, truth is to be found.
The journey is an inward one. The deep search is for our own Path Home for it is there that we all align with the Creator. It is there that we are made in the image of God/Goddess. It is there that we are all one.
The path has been long and difficult, requiring the painful letting go of all we thought we were and often all we thought we wanted. The horrendous facing and embracing of our shadow, which, predictably, was as ugly as our worst fears said it would be.
Now, those of us on this path are just on the verge of shifting it into a joyous new experience. I don't know what that's going to look like as few of us have been here in recorded history.
At present, many of us are in a shadow place, viewing through a glass darkly. I believe that is because everything is still hugely in flux. We are re-creating our reality and it is not in form yet.
We have evolved to the point that we have reached the edge of our personal reality. This is the place where matter is coming together and creating what we're living. From here we can no longer ask, "What's my future going to be" because we haven't created it yet. It is not that suddenly this is a dark time, but instead we're right on the edge where matter's becoming manifest and when we look beyond that there's nothing and yet everything.
This is an alchemical place to be, but none of the rules apply that we're used to operating by. Normally we say, "Show me what's coming and I'll work around it." When we ask that now, there's no answer because of where we are.
In order to operate here we have to change the way that we look at it. Now it's time to ask, not what's going to happen, but instead, what am I going to make happen, and how does that fit with the whole.
There comes a time when we evolve to the point that there is no difference between our will and the Creator's will, because we are one with the Creator.
During one of my talks on manifestation not long ago someone asked me, "Where does the creator come in all this." In order to answer I have to step it back down to where I separate myself out from Creator and say, "Thy will be done."
I fully realize that had I not walked the walk of turning my will over to Creator most of the years of my life I would not be here. Here in this magic place to where my will and the will of the creator are getting closer and closer together. I still have my personal wants, don't get me wrong, for without desire we can not manifest. I just don't have a heavy price tag on them, well, maybe just a couple.

Oscar comes from a family of many generations of healers and musicians, who have preserved the wisdom and music of their Quichua culture for centuries. It is part of the teaching of the elders of the Andes that now is the right time-space for them to share some of their traditions. Don Alverto Taxo is an important teacher of Oscar. Their lineage centers on opening the heart and on the natural elements and bringing the natural world actively into our lives.
