DEMOLITION
by Gwilda Wiyaka

He took me into my bathroom, opened the shower door, handed me a hammer and said “Smash a tile or two”. I looked at the flawless expanse of tile, tile I had so lovingly and carefully chosen only seven years ago, over four life times ago. I took one long deep breath, said goodbye to all that had passed and swung the hammer. Nothing happened so I rallied more strength and swung again. This time my effort was rewarded with a satisfying smash as tile shattered. “You might as well take out the soap dish too” he encouraged. I swung the hammer again with gusto. Crash! The soap dish exploded. I then handed him back his hammer and turned and walked out of my house, knowing it would never look like it had again.

Just the day before, without warning, I realized it was time to remodel. Through a set of unusual circumstances and coincidences, and an ever so slight change of perspective it came to me that rather than fret over my home equity loan I could change it into home equity and just consider it part of my house payment which was by no means extravagant by current standards.

I have learned that this is part of the evolutionary process and how Spirit talks to me. I just need to be able to let go of how I view things and look at what is being presented to me. I need to think of what I have been intending or wishing for and recognize that if I just let go of the old way of thinking what I desire is really being handed to me on a silver platter on a daily basis.

Now, for a time I am homeless. My house is a shambles of loud crashes and dust. I am staying at my son’s home high up in the red cliffs above a lake, surrounded by pine and sagebrush. Yet it sits above everything with a breath taking view. It is a small 2 bedroom requiring much less cleaning than my home. It is not my home and I am a 2 hour commute from my office, but for now it is sanctuary as I am here alone except for my beloved dog and cat that came with me. In this moment I have all I need and more.

The only way to transmute our lives is to be willing to let them be destroyed. It is a daunting thing to think about but the more we hang on to what was, the less we are available for what is to be. During these times of rapid transformation we cannot afford the luxury of clinging to things, attitudes or beliefs that no longer serve who we are becoming. It takes nothing less than radical trust in Spirit and our personal power as co-creators to step off of the cliff of what we know and enter the realm of what can be.

I can tell you from recent personal experience that after the free fall, fear leaves and is replaced by adventure as I see all I have intended transpire in the most unexpected ways.

In friendship,

Gwilda

EARLY REGISTRATION RECOMMENDED FOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

We’ve had a great response for next year’s Certification Programs at Path Home Shamanic Arts School. If you’re planning on enrolling in a program we recommend you do so early because space is limited and we’ve already begun to register students.

If you’re still considering enrolling in the school, Gwilda Wiyaka is available for complimentary half-hour consultations regarding your interest. Since Gwilda’s schedule is so busy, we suggest calling soon to reserve a meeting time with her. We are also available to answer questions at 303-775-3431 or at touchin@findyourpathhome.com

A SUCCESSFUL AND FUN CELEBRATION METAPHYSICAL FAIR

The Celebration Metaphysical Fair was one of our most successful outreach events to date. We had a wonderful time at our booth meeting new people and talking with them about the school, and are pleased with the warm response we received.

The musical group StarFaihre, Cody Wigle and Gwilda Wiyaka, greeted guests at the Front Stage on both Friday and Saturday with their original shamanic songs and they did a lovely job of creating a welcoming atmosphere for fair-goers.

Gwilda Wiyaka gave her talk on “Shamanism and Evolution” on Saturday evening and had standing room only in the classroom. Her talk brought new perspectives into traditional views on shamanism. She once again demonstrated that she is a well accomplished and powerful speaker.

We extend our gratitude to friends, colleagues, and family that came out to support Path Home, StarFaihre, and Gwilda. It was a big endeavor and we couldn’t have done it without their enfoldment.
