Starving Alone in the Dark

It seems to be a universal fear to find one's self starving alone in the dark. At this time of year, when it is cold and we have more dark than light, these fears seem to be more up front.
With the holidays coming and all the expectation, (enchantments) around them we find we dread not being surrounded by family and friends on certain key dates. We go out and spend more than we have on things people probably don't need in order to insure their continued love and presence in our lives. Anyone found alone for the holidays is pitied and secretly considered a loser.
Our consumer based society exploits these fears in order to promote sales and retailers make most of their money during the holiday season. This is one of the largest and most universal enchantments of our time.
If we follow the currents of nature, the harvest is over. It is a time to go inward, contemplate our last year and set intent for the new one to come. Winter is the time to conserve and give gratitude for what we have obtained until we can plant and harvest again.
In true reality, there is no separation, we are never alone and we have all we need. All we need do is follow our true promptings and do what comes natural. It is not natural to go out in the cold on a buying frenzy to obtain enough insurance gifts before an arbitrary date (which by the way was not even the date of Christ's birth) and then spend the rest of the year stressing over how to pay for it before we have to do it all over again.
This December, let's look around us and see all the richness and blessings we have harvested. Let's feel comfort in sinking into our own dark depths where we not only find the truth of who we are but our connection to all that is. There we are never alone or in lack. There we never starve alone in the dark.

Performances:
Gwilda Wiyaka will be interviewed on "The Light at Night" show on Comcast Cable TV station channel 54, Thursday, January 5, at 8:00 pm.
She will be discussing what spiritual illness is, and the results of the lack of shamanic healing in our culture over generations. She will also discuss how she is training her students to take the ancient principles and apply them to create a modality that better suits the people of our time, as well as what this can mean for the future of our race.

BEGINNING SOUL RETRIEVAL

"Soul Retrieval is the foundation of shamanic healing. It is through soul retrieval that we regain wholeness, integrity and personal power." Gwilda Wiyaka
This 3-day intensive program is designed to teach the skills needed to perform soul retrieval healings, as well as power animal retrieval, to be used in the treatment of the spiritual illnesses known as soul loss and loss of power, respectively. LOWER WORLD SHAMANIC JOURNEY

In this experiential workshop you will learn the ancient method of entering the shamanic journey trance. Each participant will locate a power animal and be instructed on the journey to lower world. Basic divination will be covered and time will be spent on interpretation and basic understanding of the metaphors of the shamanic journey. This class serves as a prerequisite for Path Home Shamanic Arts School's advanced courses and Practitioner trainings.
POWER ANIMALS & HELPING SPIRITS

Winter Solstice Drumming Circle/Ceremony
Gwilda Wiyaka and Cody Wigle will also be holding a special Winter Solstice Drumming circle designed around ceremony honoring the darkest time of the year and heralding the returning light. The session will include a short discussion of what that may mean to us as individuals followed by a ceremony to initiate our intent into our personal lives.
