The theme for many of us lately has been finding ourselves at a crossroads in our lives. We seem to be given a chance to step off into the unknown on blind faith in pursuit of our dreams or to follow the seemingly safe tried and true.

As near as I can tell, there is no right or wrong here, just a choice. Yet this choice will have radically different results, one from the other. Everything we have been taught tells us to plan for the future: "If you can't see it, touch it or feel it than it is not worth going for because it does not exist. To follow one's dreams is to court disaster and bankruptcy. If it feels good then it for sure will not support you." I could go on and on but you get the picture.

As a culture, we have believed in this so strongly that we have created it. In this reality all of the above is indeed true. Yet, just on the other side of the agreed upon reality we can create our own reality. The problem is we can't see it from here. To obtain it, we need to take a "leap of faith" into another place that does not exist until we create it. The world literally forms under our next steps! How scary is that???

Once engaged upon this path, if we start to doubt or loose faith it starts to crumble out from under us. To safely navigate this untried place we must stay in the moment yet constantly look at our damaged places from the past that block us and healing them in order to move on. We also must have a clear (but not detailed) vision of what we wish to create in our future in order for it to form around us. What is more, we can not entertain the thought of failure for fear also will cause our budding reality to come crashing down.

On the other side of this challenging process we are free of karma. We will no longer live lives of superimposing the events of the past onto our present. We will no longer make a rerun out of our future.

PATH HOME AT NEXUS HOLISTIC EXPO

Kirby Hancock has joined the Path Home Spiritual Healing Center as a Certified Shamanic Practitioner. He has studied with Gwilda Wiyaka for a number of years and was "grandfathered" into a Path Home Shamanic Arts School Shamanic Practitioner Certification. He is a formidable shamanic force and a gentle, compassionate person. We are very pleased to have him working with us in the clinic.

WORLD WELLNESS WEEKEND UPDATE

Despite the cold temperatures, icy roads, and continued snow, our weekend at the World Wellness Expo went beautifully. Attendance was down at the expo in general this year because of the weather, but none-the-less the classroom was packed for our Featured Speaker, Gwilda Wiyaka. StarFaihre opened and closed the talk with their original shamanic songs and their lovely music set the space in a magic way. All reports were that we had among the highest attendance of any lecturer all weekend. Thanks to those that came to support, explore, and listen.

In addition, we had a steady stream of newcomers through our booth. We’d like to take this opportunity to welcome those who signed up for our newsletter. We look forward to a continued relationship with you. The results of the raffle will be out shortly and we’ll be contacting the winners soon.

Lastly, we’d like to thank all of the friends of Path Home that came out to support Gwilda and StarFaihre at the talk as well as wandered to our booth to say hello. It was a big endeavor and we couldn’t have done it without the enfoldment of many friends, colleagues, and family.

HAND-CRAFTED DRUMS AND RATTLES IN STOCK

The staff and students of Path Home Shamanic Arts School have been hard at work creating gorgeous, shamanically crafted drums and rattles for sale. Each shamanic tool has its own unique gifts and personality and is waiting with bells on for its “person” to come along. With such a wide selection to choose from, those of you in need or want of a drum or rattle are likely to find yours here. They are on display in the Path Home School Book Store and are riding along to each of the fairs/expos we are attending.

Also new in stock are beautifully crafted smudge fans brought to us by Kirby Hancock. He’s worked each snow goose and mallard duck wing fan with loving shamanic intent.

These are wonderful tools and helpers for clearing spaces, people, and things.

LOWER WORLD SHAMANIC JOURNEY

In this experiential workshop you will learn the ancient method of entering the shamanic journey trance. Each participant will locate a power animal and be instructed on the journey to lower world. Basic divination will be covered and time will be spent on interpretation and basic understanding of the metaphors of the shamanic journey. This class serves as a prerequisite for Path Home Shamanic Arts School's advanced courses and Practitioner trainings. Directions to the class location will be provided upon registration.

POWER ANIMALS AND HELPING SPIRITS
