Wake Up and Smell the Coffee
by Gwilda Wiyaka

Enlightenment is about letting go of all you believe so that true reality can bleed through.  This reality changes moment by moment and is different at each level of our evolution. It is for this reason that to cling to a momentary truth and to try to apply it to all circumstances creates dogma and denial.

What is needed now is to open up these locked down places in our minds so that we can perceive what is really happening around us. Then we can process this information to create a more whole experience, a more open and accepting experience, an experience where magic truly happens commonplace.

Our minds were designed to be receivers and transmitters not generators. When we try to use our mind to judge reality rather than observe and document we lock down on concepts and create blocks in our neurological pathways. These blocks prevent us from receiving new information that may change our viewpoint.

I am becoming increasingly aware of carefully forgotten events I have experienced in the past that did not line up with what I believed to be true. The memories of these experiences are now bleeding through as I increasingly let go of my judgments and beliefs.

As the new information is allowed to surface my reality shifts and new experiences are possible.  It is like waking from a dream, this coming out of denial, cultural denial and personal denial.  This denial has kept us safe from the knowledge of the atrocities of our daily experience.  It has kept us from seeing the coarseness, cruelty and desecration in our lives.

So why would we want to wake up to this grisly reality?? To get out of it, thank you. We went to sleep because there was not enough light on the planet to operate by, we simply had no other options.  Now that we are re-entering the photon band, the age of enlightenment, we have the option of attaining the frequency and power to change our world.

In order to do this, however, we must first wake up to, and accept what is. Paradoxically, contentment in all conditions brings joy. The only joy to be had is in the moment where ever we find ourselves.

How can we continue to evolve and be content where we are? That is exactly what is being asked of us. It is about being. Intend it and then be with it. Let go of what it looks like. The cake is in the oven. It is just goo now, and if you open the oven too soon it will fall and become rubbery. But you will have it when it is done, provided you keep the gas coming to the stove.

In this analogy, the cake represents our intended creation, the goo is our alchemical process necessary to get there, the oven is the void or womb space between now and the intended future, and the gas is trust and faith combined with right action. Right action is the ability to recognize the events or opportunities that lead to our creation as they arrive coupled with the choice to take advantage of these gifts.

We relinquish control and attachment, only to find that ultimate control and attachment are not required. Why become attached to something when you can recreate something better or something different or whatever, whenever you need it. Why control what the process looks like when the relinquishing of control brings all you have intended but in surprising ways. Oh to relax and enjoy the adventure.  To know all you need will be provided because you have intended that it is so, and yet trust the co-creative process to deliver in unexpected ways. I don't need to know the chemical process involved in order to bake a cake, and no two of my cakes have ever been entirely the same. Yet each cake has been perfect for the occasion, even the flops have provided much needed humor.

When we see through the open trusting eyes of innocence we can recognize the results of what we have intended, planted into our future if you will, and then take leisurely action to harvest it in it’s time.  From a place of total receptivity and non judgment we can truly see what is going on and our part in it without judging against ourselves. This in turn, empowers us to make different choices in the future if we wish to alter the outcome. At the same time, we are freed up to recognize the perfection of what is in the moment and how it truly serves or leads to what we have intended. "There are no mistakes, just more data." The "crater cake" was great for Uncle Hennery's birthday and provided a lot of laughs but it would probably not be appreciated at Cousin Penelope's fancy wedding. Therefore, I will be careful not to take it out of the oven so soon this time.

So much of our lives have been driven by our feelings of guilt and shame and the resulting patterns and denials we create to avoid the same. Yet, in true reality, we have no reason to ever experience guilt and shame for we came into this world perfect to do what we came to do. Even our greatest faults and deepest damage become gifts of healing when put into the hands of the Creator. It is only then that we can co-create in joy and ease.

In friendship,

Gwilda Wiyaka

: Gwilda Wiyaka
When: Sunday, April 2, 10:00am - 5:30pm

Prerequisites:
Upper World Shamanic Journey or Lower World Shamanic Journey, and completion in any courses you may wish to use long distance

In our fragmented society, shamanic work has never been more needed, yet entire communities are without a shamanic practitioner. Fortunately, shamanic work is not limited by time or space. It is for this reason that the shamanic practitioner should add to his or her tools the most valuable skill of working long distance. This can be accomplished over the phone, by email, or even by regular mail.

In this one-day non-residential class you will learn how to perform any of the shamanic skills you have already learned such as divination, soul retrieval and even extraction long distance. Setting up your and your client’s space will be addressed. You will also learn methods of screening and preparing your client.

THE CAULDRONS OF THE SOUL

Instructor:  Tom Cowan

When: April 22 & 23, 2006 10:00a – 5:30p Boulder

Prerequisites:
Upper World Shamanic Journey or Lower World Shamanic Journey, and
Power Animals and Helping Spirits

Primal Celtic mysticism views the soul as a shapeshifter that can wander through the elements and the natural world. At the same time, the soul energizes key centers in the body and mind in subtle and mysterious ways that empower us to live fully as human beings. Together these characteristics of the soul help us to realize our essential oneness with the Divine Consciousness woven throughout Creation. In this workshop we learn prayers and practices that can be used on a daily basis to stay mindful of our souls and their relationship to both the sacred and secular environment around us.

In this two-day, non-residential class, we use the shamanic journey to discover the mysteries of the three cauldrons of the soul - the Cauldron of Warming, the Cauldron of Calling, the Cauldron of Knowing. With these we can live more compassionately and empathize more intimately with others, listen more deeply, connect to animals, pets, the land we live on, and participate more fully in the seasons of the year.

This workshop is an initiation into Celtic mysteries that offers participants the opportunity to learn about and embody dana, a rich Celtic term that can refer to the primal energies of the universe. It is dana that characterized the People of the Goddess Dana, also known by their ancestral title Tuatha De Danann. And it is dana that gave certain groups of people such as druids, seers, poets, and healers the power that we today recognize as shamanism. By allowing our souls to drink from the rich springs of dana, we can become the modern equivalents of those Celtic mystics and shamans known as aois dana and representatives of the "Shining Ones."

Tom is a Path Home Certified Instructor and his class will qualify as an elective for the Path Home certification program. For more information or to reserve a spot in his class contact us: touchin@findyourpathhome.com or 303-775-3431.

SACRED SPACE
Instructor
: Gwilda Wiyaka
When: Sunday, May 7, 10:00am - 5:30pm

Prerequisites:
Upper World Shamanic Journey or Lower World Shamanic Journey

Safe and enfolding containment is a necessity if we are to be able to open up to our creativity, bonding, intuition, and healing.

In this class we will explore our personal connection with spirit. We will discover our own ceremonies and rituals to create sacred space in our homes and work places.

Sacred space creates the optimum environment for shamanic healing work to take place for the client as well as the practitioner.

CONSCIOUS RELATIONSHIPS
Instructor
: Gwilda Wiyaka
When: Saturday, May 20, 10:00am - 5:30pm

Prerequisites:
Upper World Shamanic Journey or Lower World Shamanic Journey

One of the most valuable skills one can obtain is consciousness in relationships. Whether intimate, work, family or friendships most of our relationships are our patterns relating to the patterns of others. We are so busy bouncing projections back and forth that it is a rarity that we ever see each other for who we really are.

During this one-day non-residential class we will discover skills and concepts to help us become more conscious in our interactions with others as well as our selves.

PATTERN TRACING
Instructor
: Gwilda Wiyaka
When: May 26, 4:00pm – May 29, 1:30pm

Prerequisites:
Upper World Shamanic Journey, Lower World Shamanic Journey, and Beginning Soul Retrieval

"Fragmentation and the resulting rift in our personal space create specific recurring patterns and events that run like threads through our lives." -Gwilda Wiyaka

During this advanced 3-day residential workshop we will explore a powerful technique, developed by Gwilda over her years as a shamanic practitioner. It involves a unique method of journeying into life patterns to track down soul loss and hidden judgments and enchantments that cripple our lives.

Time will be spent on honing our middle world journey skills to better "read" a client or ourselves in order to locate clues and insights into soul loss and the resulting compensations. This information, in turn, can be used to help integrate soul parts and better understand the unconscious use of personal energy.

We will work on empathic listening skills as well as spiritual counseling methods that are the hallmark of this powerful work.
