Different Worlds

In order to transmute our experience we must first come out of denial as to what our experience truly is. Then we have to quit pointing the finger and take responsibility for creating (if unconsciously) our reality and situations as individuals and as a culture.
This may seem like a tall order yet how simply our world can change form as we adjust our view points and belief systems.
What was once viewed as a curse can become a blessing. Disadvantage can be transmuted into advantage. We can be living the same life and having an entirely different experience, and for that matter outcome, by shifting the way we interpret information.
I hate to think how many gifts I must have walked away from simply because I interpreted them as curse. How many times I have been given the opportunity to work through the very things blocking me from getting what I have asked for, and I saw them as a sign of danger or lack of support and rapidly turned and made tracks the other way.
The other day I was sitting in a repair shop waiting for my car when a little old lady doing the same turned to me and said “Isn’t it terrifying about global warming?”
“I beg your pardon?” I replied.
“Didn’t you see that special on TV last night about global warming and how we are doomed?” She was clearly upset by it. Now to me, global warming has been a fact for years but to her, because it finally showed up on TV it is suddenly becoming a reality.
To her, seemingly overnight, we are doomed to a fiery death in less than 10 years. To me, with what I have learned about transmutation and the true power we have over our environment, it can be easily corrected just as soon as enough people come out of denial, past fear and into agreement.
Yet, there we sat, side by side, in the same repair shop in different realities.
What could I say to give her ease and bridge the gap of our understanding?? Absolutely nothing, so I just said with deep compassion, “It is surely a concern”.
It really makes me wonder if that is what the new heaven and new earth will be like, sitting side by side in the same place in different worlds.
